Many years ago in the 1970s to 1990s, old-school butter cream cakes were the standard type of cakes given to relatives & friends before a wedding. These days, they are not readily available so whenever we come across them, they always evoke a sense of nostalgia in us, don't they?
Pretty as they are, I reckon they aren't so popular with today's generation in an age of more exciting/sumptuous food choices. Regrettable, isn't it? Cakes found in Sembawang Confectionery, Singapore. Address: 6 Beach Rd, Singapore 190006.
