Wang Kee 旺记 is helmed by two friendly sisters and the stall is a surprise find. I ordered a bowl of Sliced Batang Fish (or Spanish Mackerel) Soup at $4, Batang Fish Egg ($1) and a bowl of White Rice ($0.50). The Sliced Fish was fresh and cooked just right, with a smooth texture. Anchovies and White Cabbage are used to cook the light-bodied delicious Soup and I could taste a nice seafood sweetness and a tinge of MSG. What surprised me was the Egg Bomb in the Soup! Not many Sliced Fish Soup stalls add this ingredient, don't you think so? Shared by Philip Lim.
